About
and the story goes like this..
about doob bean bags singapore
Here at doob®, we believe in no-nonsense comfort - if you didn't ask for it, you don't pay for it. This is why doob® bean bags are of good quality, and yet so affordable. We have a dream, that someday, every home will have a doob® to enjoy, that every person will know the comfort of a plush bean bag. It is a huge and daunting task, yes, and were we any less strong we might have given up and let - god forbid - chairs(!) continue in their domination over human derriere-dom. But we continue to dream of that day, and as we still have breath in our lungs, we shall carry the message of the doob®. We only ask that you let us into your heart and your home, and we will show you a comfort beyond all imagination. doob®. because your butt deserves better.
Corporate Social Responsibility
TAC
The Astronauts Collective (TAC)

The Astronauts Collective (TAC) is a non-profit organization that helps youths explore the world of work and find meaningful careers, just like how astronauts explore and discover new worlds! World X is an annual event that TAC organizes with SkillsFuture Singapore Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) to mount a career exploration event for tertiary students. More than 700 participants attended the event held on 16 July 2022. doob Bean Bags provided comfortable seating for the participants to do their reflections in a cosy environment.

Glyph
Glyph

Glyph aims to help underprivileged kids and youth find their passion and strengths through non-academic activities and programmes that they might not have the opportunity to explore. Starting as a simple community initiative back in 2017, Glpyh was incorporated as a charity in 2021, supporting over 2,000 Singaporean families with endorsements by various government ministries. In order to provide a fun and conducive environment for their beneficiaries, doob Bean Bags sponsored a couple of bean bags for their space at Beach Road.

Music for a Cause
Music for a Cause 2019

doob Bean Bags, being a staple seat for music festivals and concerts, were invited to support Music For A Cause - a music festival that seeks to raise awareness and funds for several social causes in Singapore. Outdoing themselves each year, 2019 saw big names like Joanna Dong lend a hand to the cause.

Club Rainbow
DreamSeeds Arts Fest

For the month of October 2016, we committed to match every bean bag purchased on the doobsite with a doob bean bag to be pledged to Club Rainbow Singapore, a charity organisation that supports children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families.

To tie in with the doobnation drive, we teamed up with Club Rainbow to provide doobs for DreamSeeds Arts Fest, an open-to-public arts and charity event celebrating the passion, determination, and artistic talent of their beneficiaries, with a side goal of forging a more inclusive arts community.

Music For the Mind
"Music For the Mind 2014" - Love Action Project and SG 50for50

Love Action Project together with the 50for50 initiative, organised a 3-day music showcase “Music for the Mind” to raise funds and create awareness on Mental Illness for Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH).

During the showcase, popular local acts like Jack and Rai, and Singapore Char Siew Bao performed for the audience as they cozied up on comfy doob Bean Bags (of course). The event was also graced by former MP Lim Hwee Hua.

More than one in 10 people in Singapore will be stricken by mental illness in their lifetime, according to the Singapore Mental Health Study. Often, mental illness strikes the young; majority of mental illnesses occurred by 29 years of age. Many face depression, the commonest mental illness here. Others may be affected by alcohol abuse or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), an anxiety affliction characterized by obsessions, compulsive rituals, as well as intrusive thoughts and impulses.

Music For the Mind 2014 hopes in raising awareness for mental illness, to remove the stigma of mental health patients. For more info visit the SAMH website at http://www.samhealth.org.sg/.
